Keith Cooper Scholarship

2020 applications were due June 23, 2020 and are now CLOSED

2021 applications will be available in Spring 2021

This fund acknowledges the late Keith Cooper, former Educator and Chief Executive Officer of Winnipeg Child and Family Services, and his commitment to youth in care accessing post-secondary education. The scholarship committee awards scholarships of $1,000 based on financial need, academic achievement, and demonstrated career focus & support system. 


  • Currently or previously in the care of a Manitoba Child and Family Services agency for at least 1 year

  • Applied to or currently enrolled in your first certificate, diploma, or degree program at a recognized post-secondary institution in Manitoba for the 2020-2021 school year

  • Be able to meet the institution’s entry/renewal requirements

    • ​Previous Keith Cooper Scholarship recipients are welcome to re-apply


  • Complete the Keith Cooper Scholarship application form

  • Include a copy of your most current high school (and if applicable) post-secondary transcripts 

  • Include one reference letter 

  • Include post-secondary Letter of Acceptance (if applicable, or proof of application/enrolment)
