CFCS offers free tax filing and access to benefits services over the phone through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program.
Your taxes will be prepared within 1 to 2 business days. All your documents will be returned to you by mail to keep for your records.

The First Nations Family Advocate Office is focused on improving outcomes for Indigenous peoples as they access community and government services - with the goal of preventing apprehension and reducing the number of Indigenous young people in CFS care. They also offer assistance to Indigenous individuals regarding filing their taxes.

The ACOMI Resource Center offers tax preparation services throughout the year for low-income families, newcomers, individuals and students. You may be eligible for help at our free tax preparation service if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation.
